About Pepe LUMINSONICS
Hi from Victoria (Pepe LuminSonics) This website presents some of my music and digital art videos. My contemporary Neoclassical New Age music transcends, uplifts, inspires and flows; it is peaceful and relaxing. It is music that is healing and inspires a gentle meditative being of wellness.
For me--it had to be music: my grandmother was an opera singer; my grandfather a prodigy violinist; my father pop singer, drummer and band leader. Music was and is a huge part of our family: always supporting me playing my own piano music most of my life, even before I had formal music lessons. Music lessons for piano and singing were private and at LI conservatory, Master Classes at Julliard and Manhattan School of Music and as a soprano opera singer in Vienna and maestros of the Met Opera and New York City Opera. The piano is my instrument;
Bach and the classics were my formal music training: and also included popular music as a teacher and accompanist for singers of opera and Broadway show tunes and classic pop. Cultural events and nature are also part of my life. Creating music is essential to me. I have created music to accompany documentaries, art/music videos, a cable tv show and for performance venues. My classical training gives me the ability to express what flows through me; like a channel. Rather than expressing myself, I am expressing something beyond myself. And in those moments of creating I feel oneness It is this feeling that I hope is expressed and give to you through the music.... I master my music using the new computer technical tools in music production.
My faith and spiritual seeking is my life foundation and at the core of what I do: Pepe Lumin (Light) Sonics (Sound) . “Creating connects me to something beyond myself. It is a meditation and a timeless place of profound peace and transcendence. I connect to a higher Source which creates through me. It is hoped that this transcendent transformative energy is conveyed to those who view and hear my work." In the Philadelphia City Paper art review of Pepe's virtual video on exhibit Robin Rice writes that her (Victoria's) video art is "a truly artful night light". I hope my creative expressions help spread the Light.
